Introduction to Saving Huge Bucks

Everybody buys and sells things and the fact that you are reading this book shows that you are about to buy something. Whether it’s a refrigerator or a dining room table, you can use the information in this book to save big money on anything you buy.

This book is aimed at buying used goods from private sellers but you can apply the principles to new purchases at times depending on what you are buying. I’ll leave that part up to your creativity so we can stay on track.

This book is relatively short but I see no point in fluffing it up. I’m going to give you the goods rapid fire, so you can get on with your busy life.

Putting things in perspective

If you buy new whitegoods, furniture and almost anything you are paying a huge premium.

In reality there is no difference between something that is new and something that is 6 months old. It is just our consideration that the new thing is somehow better.

In actual fact an item that has been tested in the home by 6 months use, in my opinion is superior.

The owner has done a free trial for you.

Say you buy a new car. As soon as you drive it out of the showroom you have just reduced its sale price by a minimum of $3000.  But is that car any different?

It’s not.

It’s the same car with .01mm of tread wear on the tire.

The extra money you spend is for your peace of mind – which by the way is very expensive peace of mind.

So I’m going to assume that we are buying used goods of whatever sort.

We are going for quality. And we are going for savings. We don’t want other peoples junk – do we?

We want the good stuff to which I’m sure you’ll agree. ......
